Job Description	Team Description: The Oracle E-Business Suite Platform Engineering Team in the Applications Development Organization is a dynamic team of individuals focused on increasing Oracle's business and delivering quality product to customers. Our charter is to quickly and efficiently port, certify and deliver optimal, in-demand and quality solutions to enterprise applications customers. This team is one of the critical pieces of E-Business Suite Release management. The team is responsible for: Creating the Rapid Install (RI) Ship home on supported platforms and delivering it to customers. Install testing and certifying E-Business suite wide Maintenance Packs (MP) and Release Update Packs (RUP) with wide range of technologies Install testing and certification of E-Business suite Consolidated Upgrade Patch (CUP) with wide range of technologies. Performing upgrades from 11i to R12 with various technology stacks. Install testing and certification of NLS languages supported by EBS. Activate New Languages Upgrade Existing Languages Maintenance of the Build and Install instances. Defining the process and policies for the Product Development and QA teams. The engineers' thinking and analyzing capabilities are always challenged to think out-of-box to come up with new initiatives and improvements. Being part of this team, you will be among the first to use and know about Technology components including techstack components, AS and Database and new features in EBS Core job responsibilities: Installing and configuring Oracle Applications system. Upgrading Oracle Application system including Database and Application Server. Installing and configuring Oracle Database. Activating and Upgrading EBS supported NLS Languages. Install testing and certification of Maintenance Packs (MP), Rapid Install (RI), Release Update Packs, Consolidated Upgrade Pack (CUP). Diagnose, debug and resolve platform specific issues in the code Test the E-Business Suite software with newer OS versions and external technologies Excellent opportunity to learn much of the Oracle product stack from an end user perspective (including the RDBMS, Fusion middle-ware technologies, and Oracle E-Business Suite applications) Work closely with other Oracle development organizations and major platform partners Work on the delivery of platform releases from inception to deployment Provide training and best practices support on the use of internal tools and utilities Use, design, and develop automation to serve core responsibilities when appropriate
Desired Profile	Qualifications: B.E / B Tech degree in Computer Science or related field 2-6 years of previous software engineering or related experience required Experience as an Oracle Apps (EBS) DBA with sound knowledge in Installation, Upgrade process, AD utilities, Rapid Clone, AutoConfig, General System administration (profiles, concurrent manager, users, workflow, etc). Good understand of the Oracle EBS applications architecture and its data model Good debugging and analytical skills, Strong drive to learn, with a "problem solving" attitude Excellent written and oral communication skills Demonstrated ability to deliver medium to complex projects on time and with a high degree of quality Strong team skills, with ability to multitask with minimal supervision and high reliability Desired Skills: Knowledge of core Oracle DBA activities like backups, general administration like user creation, table space maintenance, import/export, datapump, DB creation and upgrade, patching Oracle database. PL/SQL programming/debugging and Perl/Unix shell scripting, Web/internet based applications deployment Strong debugging skills related to install and upgrade for each of the Oracle EBS supported technology components Basic middle ware technologies administration/support Prior experience in porting applications developed in C/C++ and/or Java. Detailed Description and Job Requirements Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications. As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
