Manager Database Administrator 5 to 10 Years Amazon Hyderabad.
This role requires working closely with internal customers and requesting organizations to understand incidents and ensure quality service is provided, to manage problems, to scope project work requests and service levels where you manage expectations and help prioritize production support and multiple parallel projects across disparate organizations. The teams will support a set of complex database implementations. You will work with development teams to align your process with the design of next-generation systems, ensuring alignment with our long term strategic objectives. This position involves regular communication with senior management on plans, status, risks and emergent issues. Excellent listening, writing, verbal communication skills, and very strong technical competency are essential. Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent.
6-10 years industry experience
Relevant hands-on technical management experience of DBA support teams and skills - troubleshoot, debug, evaluate, and resolve software.
Knowledge of Oracle DBs, SQL, PL/SQL, Tools, C++, Java, J2EE, UNIX shell, Perl.
Experience managing a technical staff and technical projects
Clear and concise both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrates resilience managing a wide variety of issues.
Demonstrates the ability to make and take responsibility for sound decisions.
Demonstrated experience in managing DBAs and database operations
Experience working with management or staff in remote sites / internationally.
Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines.
